Siegfried Travel Designations

The Siegfried Travel Designations described below are a significant component of The Siegfried Group, LLP Travel Incentive Compensation Plan (the Plan) and should be read and considered in conjunction with the terms of Plan. Please note that, a ‘reasonable commute’ will be defined throughout as up to 1.5 hours in any direction from your home base.

Decisions and Modifications

The Firm reserves the right to change the terms of the Travel Incentive Compensation Plan or terminate it at any time. Additionally, the Firm reserves the right to change, modify, or terminate any of the terms described below related to each Travel Designation.  The terms of the Travel Incentive Compensation Plan are not intended to, nor do they modify the employment-at-will relationship between each employee and the Firm as more fully described in each employee’s employment agreement.  The implementation of, parameters for, including the attributes of each Travel Designation, calculation of, timing of (pre)payment of, eligibility for, and any judgments associated with the Travel Incentive Compensation Plan, or any award thereunder shall be determined in the sole discretion of the Chief Executive Officer of the Firm and are subject to change based on the communicated business needs of the Firm.

In-Market Road Warrior

An In-Market Road Warrior (RW) lives proximate to (commuting distance, see above) one of our Siegfried Markets with a preference to travel up to 100% of their deployed time on projects of at least nine months or longer. The choice to become or to leave this RW designation may be elected annually through the Firm’s travel designation process. RWs have a preference for travel projects, but they are also fully open to working on local in-office projects. Additionally, an In-Market Road Warrior may be offered projects that are fully or hybrid remote work. Hybrid may include travel for an initial period (e.g., onboarding/initial training), periodically (e.g., one week per month), intermittently (2-3 days per week), or ad hoc upon request (e.g., for specific meetings or other in-person experience(s)). The intent of the In-Market RW designation is to allow Professional Resources who live within a reasonable commute of one of our Siegfried Markets to travel up to 100% of the time for projects to gain a variety of experiences outside of their local home market with exciting travel opportunities.

In-Market Road Warriors may be asked to travel when travel projects become available to meet client needs so long as such travel projects align with the In-Market Road Warrior’s level and Siegfried’s promise of Interesting and Challenging work. If an In-Market Road Warrior is resistant to level- appropriate travel projects, they could face Salability concerns in Siegfried’s PVS process. The In-Market RW designation is not a full remote option, although as remote projects are available, In-Market Road Warriors are eligible for those deployments. The Professional Resource Director will discuss this with the Professional Resource throughout the Deployment process. When traveling for a project, an In-Market Road Warrior is willing to undertake fulltime travel projects of at least nine months or longer and, in most cases, is offered the opportunity to travel home two weekends per month at the client’s or Siegfried’s expense. If fully traveling, an In-Market Road Warrior is expected to do so for the duration of each project.

Travel Incentive Compensation: 30% of Professional Resource’s Base Compensation (prorated based on number of qualified travel nights)

Conditional Traveler

Conditional Travelers reside within commuting distance of one of our Siegfried Markets and are open to overnight travel projects for up to 90 days per project.

The intent of the Conditional Traveler designation (CT) is to allow our in-market Professional Resources who reside within commuting distance of one of our Siegfried Markets and who are seeking occasional or partial travel for projects to gain a variety of experiences outside of their local home market with exciting travel opportunities.  Conditional Travelers will be given opportunities to travel to client-sites for projects outside of their home market on an occasional, partial, or, if desired, full-time basis.

Conditional Travelers are open to up to 90 days of overnight travel (outside of the home Market) per project.  The 90-day threshold can be met either through a fulltime, travel project or through a hybrid travel project, which may include travel for an initial period (e.g., orientation/initial training), periodically (e.g., one week per month), intermittently (2-3 days per week), or ad hoc upon request (e.g., for specific meetings or other in-person experience(s)) for a maximum of 90 total overnight days over the course of the entire project.  A Conditional Traveler is willing to accept in-Market fulltime onsite projects, in-Market hybrid projects, or full remote projects and is not guaranteed travel projects.

As the intent of the CT designation is to allow Professional Resources who live within Siegfried Markets to travel up to 90 days per travel projects in order to gain a variety of experiences outside of their local home market with exciting travel opportunities. Conditional Travelers may be asked to travel up to 90 days per project when such travel assignments become available to meet client needs. The CT designation is not a full remote option, although as remote projects are available, Conditional Travelers are eligible for those deployments. The Professional Resource Director will discuss this with the Professional Resource throughout the Deployment process.

In most cases, Conditional Travelers who are fully traveling for a project are offered the opportunity to travel home every weekend at the client’s or Siegfried’ s expense. A Conditional Traveler is willing to travel for participation in Siegfried Events such as MY Journey®, National Summit, LDP, Orientation Experience, etc.

Travel Incentive Compensation: 18% of Professional Resource’s Base Compensation (for the project, prorated based on number of qualified travel nights; with a minimum of 3 qualified travel nights/month)

No Travel

The No Travel designation is offered to our Professional Resources who do not have an interest in considering out-of-market projects.  A No Traveler is willing to work on-site at client worksites (either fulltime or hybrid) within their home Market and is willing to accept remote work projects. This travel designation is not a fully remote option.

National Road Warrior

The intent of the National Road Warrior (NRW) designation is to allow our Professional Resources (PRs) living outside of one of our 18 Siegfried Markets ((e.g., local, brick and mortar offices) the opportunity to gain a variety of experiences outside of one of Siegfried’s markets with exciting travel opportunities.

The NRW designation is chosen by a Professional Resource who is seeking to travel up to 100% of the time while deployed on projects, which can last at least nine months or longer. The choice to become or to leave the NRW designation must be approved by the National Professional Resource Team (NPRT) on an annual basis. Opportunities to become a NRW will be considered based on the-current business needs, including desired total volume of NRW PRs and client need with respect to remote/hybrid/on-site work. National Road Warriors are not guaranteed travel projects. National Road Warriors are expected to maintain a primary permanent residence in the contiguous U.S., proximate to a major metropolitan airport to allow ease of travel to/from client worksites and Siegfried events.

If a National Road Warrior lives proximate to one of our Siegfried Markets or Siegfried client(s), they may be offered an opportunity to be deployed on client projects within their geographic proximity (including but not limited to fulltime local in-person projects). Travel incentives will not be available for such local projects. Additionally, a National Road Warrior may be offered projects that are fully or hybrid remote work. Hybrid may include travel for an initial period (e.g., onboarding/initial training), periodically (e.g., one week per month), intermittently (2-3 days per week), or ad hoc upon request (e.g., for specific meetings or other in-person experience(s)).

The NRW designation is not a full remote offering, although as remote projects are available, National Road Warriors are eligible for those deployments. The National Road Warrior is expected to display flexibility in project selection and location for projects that otherwise align with the National Road Warrior’s level and Siegfried’s promise of Interesting and Challenging work, including local assignments. The Professional Resource Director will discuss this with the Professional Resource throughout the Deployment process.

In most cases, National Road Warriors who are fully traveling for a project are offered the opportunity to travel home two weekends per month at the client’s or Siegfried’s expense. If fully traveling, a National Road Warrior is expected to do so for the duration of each project. A National Road Warrior is willing to travel for participation in Siegfried Events such as MY Journey®, National Summit, LDP, Orientation Experience, etc. NRWs living proximate to one of Siegfried’s offices are expected to comport with all MY Time expectations, including reporting into the office in a hybrid capacity.

Travel Incentive Compensation: 30% of Professional Resource’s Base Compensation (prorated based on number of qualified travel nights)

National Conditional Traveler

The intent of the National Conditional Traveler (NCT) designation is to allow such designated Professional Resources (PRs) who do not live within commuting distance of one of our 18 Siegfried Markets who are open to projects within a reasonable commute of their home base and who are willing to travel for projects on a partial basis to gain a variety of experiences outside of their local home base. NCTs are expected to commute to client-sites for projects within a reasonable commute of their home and as described below, or projects outside of their home base on a partial or full-time travel basis. NCTs are neither guaranteed local, travel, or full remote projects.

The NCT designation is given to a PR who is open to both (a) commuting locally from their home base (a reasonable commute, see above) and (b) traveling to client sites for up to six months (180 days) per client project over a 12-month period. Commuting locally to a client near their home base does not count toward the six-months (180 days) of travel as it does not meet the requirements of a travel project (e.g., no overnight stay). The six-month (180 day) threshold, per year, may be met through either a fulltime, travel project for a total of six months or through a hybrid travel project, which may include travel for an initial period (e.g., onboarding/initial training/first 3 months), periodically (e.g., one week per month), intermittently (2-3 days per week), or ad hoc upon request (e.g., for specific meetings or other in-person experience(s)). If a remote project asks for travel at any point in the project, the NCT will agree to travel up to six months (180 days per project) per year. Ultimately, the Firm is expecting the NCT PR to be flexible as to their deployment to client projects.

The choice to become or to leave the NCT designation must be approved by the NPRO/T Leadership and is subject to annual eligibility based on the number of and geography of the home base of the NCTs in the Firm. Opportunities to become a NCT will be considered based on then-current business needs, including desired total volume of NCT PRs and client need with respect to remote/hybrid/on-site work.

NCTs are required to maintain a primary permanent residence in the contiguous U.S., proximate to a major metropolitan airport to allow ease of travel to/from client worksites and Siegfried events.

As the intent of the NCT designation is to allow freedom of geography while meeting client needs, if a PR is resistant to level-appropriate travel for client work up to six months (180 days) per client project (per 12 month period), they could face Salability concerns in Siegfried’s PVS process.

The Professional Resource Director will discuss this with the PR throughout the Deployment process. In most cases, NCTs who are fully traveling for a project are offered the opportunity to travel home every weekend at the client’s or Siegfried’ s expense.
